Harvey police officers were dispatched at approximately 7:20 a.m. Thursday to a residence near the intersection of Vine Avenue and 150th Street following a report of a possible medical emergency. When officers arrived and entered the home, they found Jones and Roberson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite emergency response efforts, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Police have confirmed that the case is being investigated as a double homicide, and detectives are continuing efforts to determine what led to the fatal shooting.
Authorities have not released information regarding a possible suspect, motive, or whether the victims knew the person responsible. Investigators have also not disclosed additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
